iChat Users Not Appearing As Away ...

As of June 24, 2009, my friends and I have been noticing a rather large glitch in iChat involving AIM accounts (and possibly more, I have no friends on MobileMe / .Mac so this might be more widespread)

Symptoms:
-iChat users who have set their status to an away message still appear to be available on anyone using AIM (the client does not matter)
-iChat will still auto-reply the away message to anyone that IMs the person, but it is still a cause for confusion.

Theories as to the cause:
-AIM changing their protocol slightly when accomodating the iPhone app with Push / 24hr session keepalive times. Even the launch of a competing app, BeejiveIM has been affected by the large amount of users suddenly using their stuff
-Random time-sensitive iChat glitch

It's nice that this isn't a huge glitch, but it's still there and I'm hoping someone provides a fix soon.
